With over 19 years of experience, Vivek Dahiya is a Registered Australian & New Zealand Patent and Trade Marks Attorney and IP strategist focused on helping businesses convert innovation into strategic commercial value.
With a multidisciplinary background in engineering, business, and law, Vivek brings a practical and commercially grounded approach to intellectual property. He specialises in aligning IP strategy with business objectives to drive growth, secure competitive advantage, and maximise return on innovation.
Vivek began his career at leading IP firms in India, where he prosecuted patents and trade marks across multiple jurisdictions before founding his own IP strategy consulting practice.
In his current role at Baxter IP, he has been instrumental in advising university innovators, startup founders, and small business owners on IP strategy, disputes, and portfolio development, both locally and globally.
He has prosecuted over 2,000 patent applications globally and has successfully managed complex IP matters to achieve commercially favourable outcomes. Vivek is also an inventor, with granted patents in the United States and Australia, and additional filings progressing in other jurisdictions.
His technical expertise spans artificial intelligence, software, telecommunications, electronics, and computer technologies, developed through extensive prosecution and strategic advisory work in these domains.
