How to Register a Trade Mark in Australia

Clearance search

Filing your application

Examination
An IP Australia examiner reviews the application and may raise objections, commonly over similar earlier marks or descriptiveness. We prepare the response and argue the case for acceptance on your behalf.
Acceptance and registration
Once accepted, your mark is advertised for a two-month opposition period. If no opposition succeeds, it proceeds to registration and we manage the renewals that keep it in force.
