As of the first September 2009, Google, the search engine created by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, received a patent for its home page design.

This was issued by the US patent & Trademark office. The Google patent process started in 2004 and after more than five years, the home page has finally received its patent. The Google homepage has changed many times as Google constantly aims to improve its services, especially the search engine service.
